Welcome to the Edmund Rice International Heritage Centre, at Mount Sion in Waterford. From this foundational place, Blessed Edmund Rice began his ministry and in this historic place, the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Brothers have established the Edmund Rice Heritage Centre and museum in order to preserve and promote the founding vision of Blessed Edmund.
The heart of the Centre is the Edmund Rice Chapel, a place of prayer and international pilgrimage and the final resting place of the earthly remains of our beloved Founder.
As a centre of hospitality we also provide facilities for all types of meetings and gatherings. Our facilities are fully equipped to meet modern day requirements. We have rooms for rent at very reasonable rates that are open to negotiation depending on requirements and circumstances. We also have the ability to offer daily catering options to meet your needs.
Mount Sion in Waterford City is holy ground. From this place, the vision and dream of Blessed Edmund was born, that all will come to know the risen Christ, “the one who fills all things in every way.” (Ephesians 1: 23)
